About us
Our purpose
Clear, confident speech, explicit
Our name is not a typo: ECSplicite is indeed pronounced like the French word “explicite” (explicit), because successful communication is clear, confident and accessible.
ECS stands for Écoute, Conseil et Succès — Listening, Advice and Success. Three values
that have guided every one of our actions for more than 30 years, with
our learners as well as with Training and HR departments.
Dare to speak!
It all began in 1991. Laurent Sorgato started from a simple insight: you don't revise a language, you speak it. Everyone has a phone, and everywhere there are people who have spoken a language since childhood and would love to pass it on. All it took was connecting the two.
Since then, over 300,000 people have learnt to dare to speak with us. Over time, the phone gave way to video conferencing and the tools evolved. When our founder handed over the reins, four employees naturally took over the company, driven by a shared conviction: that a language is learnt above all by practising it.
More than thirty years on, the original spirit is still there. Because we make better progress when we feel listened to, supported and encouraged.
